Boat Show trip
Posted on the 8th January at 10:08 a.m.
If you were thinking of going to the Boat Show in London, why not join a few other CUYC people who are going on Sunday?
No particualr organisation or booking; just turn up at the platform for the Kings Cross train at Cambridge Station at 09:15 on Sunday morning (10th January).
If you are thinking of buying any books, almanacs, clothing or gear (or even a Summer holiday), there are usually lots of discounts at the show. We will also be checking out a new gas cooker for Kestrel.
Show Tickets:
It's cheaper if you buy a ticket in advance from http://www.londonboatshow.com/ and print it out and bring it with you, rather than buying one at the door.
Train Tickets:
It is possible to travel for 20% less than the normal off peak fare (before railcard or groupsave discount) by buying SUPER off peak tickets rather than the usual off peak. These have no more restrictions than any other ticket at weekends.
However, they are not available on the self service machines, so you will have to queue at the ticket window instead.
[thanks, Paul]

Using the booking code LJG40 when buying boat show tickets on-line reduces their cost from £13 to £10. You can also choose to pay an extra £1 to get a drink voucher which you can exchange for a pint in the bar in the North Hall.
