Hey, it's May! Let's sail! Are you a salty old sea dog who's circumnavigated the globe ten times over? Are you a landlubber who's never even seen a boat? It doesn't matter! Whatever your level, all are welcome!
The plan, as always, will depend on the weather, the wind, the crew, and the wild and unpredictable whims of your skipper. If the weather is good and we're keen, we can do a longer passage to somewhere like, say, Lowestoft, and grab some delicious seafood. Or if we feel like just puttering around, we can explore the Orwell and Stour, maybe do some drills and exercises. The world is our proverbial oyster.
How does it work? You sign up and pay. Once you're confirmed, I'll get in touch with more details. Whatever the plane, it'll involve getting to Ipswich Friday evening, and coming back to Ipswich sometime Sunday evening, ideally around 6pm. But hey, this is sailing, so you never know. You need to bring some warm clothes, a sleeping bag, and some other personal bits and bobs, but we'll provide you with rugged seaworthy waterproof gear and anything else you need for sailing. We'll have food on the boat, and we'll cook in the boat or eat out, depending on what we end up doing. So, on top of the signup fee, we'll be splitting the cost of fuel, food, and berthing... But this is usually about £30 per person or so.
And if you have any questions, drop me a line! My name is Guilherme (profile). This is me:
Hope to see you on the water!
